Pilaf is a symbol of Uzbek cuisine! It is prepared in all homes in Uzbekistan - it does not matter if it is an Uzbek, Russian, Tatar or Korean family. Uzbek pilaf is part of the mentality of the country's inhabitants. Among the Uzbeks, pilaf is traditionally prepared by a man. More than a thousand recipes with different ingredients are known for making Uzbek pilaf, and there are even whole books dedicated only to this dish. It's not for nothing that pilaf is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List!
Manty is a delicious dish from Uzbek cuisine, which is made from a couple of soft, thin pieces of dough with a juicy meat filling inside. Mantys are real "nomads": first they came from China to Central Asia, but from here this dish with its multifaceted recipe and method of preparation "traveled" to Russia and other European countries. Most dishes in Uzbek cuisine must be eaten with your hands, and manty is one of them. By the way, it is quite difficult to eat them with cutlery, so after a few minutes you will realize that it is not only more convenient to eat them with your hands, but also much tastier - the juicy filling does not spill out, but remains inside the mantõ together with the juice. Due to the fact that mantys are steamed, the nutritional value of vegetables and meat is preserved in them to the maximum - this is a special feature of the entire Uzbek cuisine.
Along with such popular dishes as pilaf, mantë and lagman, kaurmá lagman (i.e. fried) is also prepared in Uzbekistan. Literally translated, ÇovurmA means "grilled meat" and therefore our lagman comes without sauce. As strange as it is, this simple dish with few ingredients will make you instantly and irrevocably fall in love with it. The most important thing is to prepare it correctly, and then you will get "just that" authentic taste, which many people adore!
